About Tom Graham
As the former Chair (2016 and 2019) and Member (2011-2019) of the World Trade Organization's Appellate Body, founder of the international trade practice at Skadden Arps, former head of the trade practice at King & Spalding, former Deputy General Counsel at the U.S. Trade Representative's Office, and recently a partner in Cassidy Levy Kent, Tom Graham brings a rare blend of experience to his current role as an advisor on trade disputes and negotiations.
Early in his career, Tom was a legal officer of the United Nations in Geneva, an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law School and at American University's Washington College of Law, and a visiting professor of law and assistant to the president of Ford Motor de Venezuela, in Caracas, Venezuela.
He was the founding chair of the American Society of International Law's Committee on International Economic Law, and he chaired the American Bar Association's Subcommittee on Exports. He has been a Guest Scholar at the Brookings Institution, and a Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
